Current Board Members (2022)

President // Collin Wilson

The President is in charge of the overall function of UAACSCE. A slate of officers is appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Directors each year. The president leads the Academy membership in all meetings and projects initiated by the Board and Academy membership. The President is critical to assuring the success of all activities of the Academy.

President-Elect // Will Arensman

In addition to serving as Acting President in the absence of the President, the President-Elect attends all Academy Board and Annual Academy Membership Meetings in order to become familiar with the office of the President. The President-Elect will assume the position as president in the case of vacancy, and acts as keeper of the bylaws.

Secretary // Brad Jackson

The Secretary is in charge of keeping accurate records of Academy meetings, events, and processes. The secretary works in collaboration with chair members to maintain member records and update Academy website and mailing lists. The secretary will also update the minutes as Board meetings are held, and will act as President in the case of vacancy by both President and President-Elect.

Treasurer // Michael Collyar

The treasurer assures that proper procedures and controls exist for the receipt of all Academy member suggested yearly gifts and contributions and that they are received by the CSCE Department for deposit with the University of Arkansas Foundation. The treasurer manages and maintains all Academy balances and updates members accordingly.

Past President // Fred Grigg

The Past President primarily chairs the Liaison Committee, and also provides the sitting President with guidance regarding Academy affairs when requested. Past Presidents will also assist the current President in meeting preparation as well as attend meetings and provide guidance to the board of directors.

Director of Membership // Will Arensman

The Board of Directors shall consist of 7 to 10 Directors, including the Immediate Past-President. Normally, three (3) Directors will be elected from the membership by the members at each Annual Meeting and serve a three (3) year term. Board members should attend all Board Meetings and support the President in all activities of the Academy.  The Board of Directors adopts an annual budget and presents it to the membership each year.

Board Member // Ken Woodruff

The Board of Directors shall consist of 7 to 10 Directors, including the Immediate Past-President. Normally, three (3) Directors will be elected from the membership by the members at each Annual Meeting and serve a three (3) year term. Board members should attend all Board Meetings and support the President in all activities of the Academy.  The Board of Directors adopts an annual budget and presents it to the membership each year.

Board Member // Rob Thamer

The Board of Directors shall consist of 7 to 10 Directors, including the Immediate Past-President. Normally, three (3) Directors will be elected from the membership by the members at each Annual Meeting and serve a three (3) year term. Board members should attend all Board Meetings and support the President in all activities of the Academy.  The Board of Directors adopts an annual budget and presents it to the membership each year.

Department Head/ex Officio Board Member // Jia Di

The Head of the EECS Department will be an ex officio member of the Board of Directors. The department head manages University to Academy relations and updates members on the status of students pursuing degrees in computer science and computer engineering.
