Andrew Wheeler

Andrew Wheelerearned a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 1994. After graduation, he joined HP where he has enjoyed a rewarding career in technology. Currently, as a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Fellow, he serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Hewlett Packard Labs – the company’s central applied research group established in 1966 by founders Bill Hewlett and David Packard. Under Andrew’s leadership, HPE has advanced the state of the art in secure platforms, computer architecture, photonic interconnects, and neuromorphic computing. He currently directs research within Security, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Supercomputing Platforms. Prior to leading Labs, Andrew held several Chief Technologist and lead architect roles in multiple business groups covering a broad range of technologies and products. Since leaving Fayetteville, Andrew and his wife Jamie have lived in Fort Collins, CO where they raised two sons and established roots in the community.
