Resume Review Tool Now Live!

UAACSCE member Ben Onukwube developed a streamlined, two-sided system to connect students with alumni and Academy members for quick and effective resume feedback. Built using Google Forms and Google Apps Script, this tool is now live and ready for use, with just a few small refinements to come.

How It Works

🧑‍🎓 For Students

Students can submit their resume and request a review by completing this short form:

👩‍💼 For Reviewers (Academy Members & Alumni)

Those interested in reviewing resumes can sign up via this quick form:
👉 Reviewer Sign-Up Form

Once signed up, reviewers are immediately given access to the Resume Dashboard, where they can view submitted resumes, track their status, and claim ones available for review.

Dashboard Features

• All newly submitted resumes appear as “Available.”

• Reviewers claim a resume by selecting their name from a dropdown.

• Once claimed, the status automatically updates to “Under Review.”

• Reviewers leave feedback via comments directly on the document—no edits to the resume itself.

• Reviews should be completed within 3 days.

• After reviewing, the reviewer updates the status to “Complete.”

• This automatically:

  • Sends the student an email notification with a link to the reviewed document.

  • Changes the status to “Student Notified.”

  • Logs the date of completion.
